Puppy Wellness: The Right Start

At Front Porch Animal Clinic, we partner with you to provide exceptional wellness care for your new puppy. Our comprehensive Puppy Wellness Program is designed to ensure your furry friend begins life on the right paw through preventative care, education, and early intervention. These first few months are crucial to your puppy’s development and future health.

Pawsitive Beginnings

For many pet lovers, there is nothing more exciting and fun than getting a new puppy! Your Front Porch Animal Clinic veterinarian is your partner in making sure your puppy gets the best puppy wellness care possible. Our Puppy Wellness Program ensures your new friend starts off on the right paw. The first few months of a young dog’s life are critical to their development, future health, and well-being.

You should schedule your puppy to see the veterinarian as soon as possible after you adopt. During your puppy’s comprehensive physical exam, our veterinarians will evaluate your puppy’s growth, identify any signs of current or future health issues, and answer questions about your puppy’s expected size and development.

Our puppy wellness visits include essential vaccinations to protect your puppy’s developing immune system against dangerous diseases, including rabies, canine distemper, Lyme disease, leptospirosis, and Bordetella. We’ll also screen for common intestinal parasites that can weaken your puppy and potentially affect human family members.

Additionally, we recommend microchipping to ensure your puppy can be identified throughout their life if they ever become lost. Your puppy will receive their first doses of heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Our veterinarians also provide valuable behavior and nutrition counseling to help with housebreaking, socialization, training, and feeding schedules for optimum health.
