Your Front Porch Animal Clinic veterinarian is your partner in making sure your new friend gets the best care possible. Our Kitten Wellness Care ensures your new friend starts off on the right paw. The first few months of a young cat’s life are critical to their development, future health, and well-being.
You should schedule your kitten to see the veterinarian as soon as possible after you adopt. During your kitten’s comprehensive physical exam, our veterinarians will evaluate your kitten’s growth, identify any signs of current or future health issues, and answer questions about your kitten’s expected size and development.
Our kitten wellness visits include essential vaccinations to protect your kitten’s developing immune system against dangerous diseases, including rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines. We’ll also screen for common intestinal parasites that can weaken your kitten and potentially affect human family members.
Additionally, we recommend microchipping to ensure your kitten can be identified throughout their life if they ever become lost. Your kitten will receive their first doses of heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Our veterinarians also provide valuable behavior and nutrition counseling to help with litterbox training, socialization, and feeding schedules for optimum health.
