Kim

Kim

Clinic Maintenance Manager

During her childhood, Kim spent countless summers on her grandmother’s farm helping out with the livestock. She especially loved the pigs and enjoyed assisting with the birthing process. This experience fostered a deep love of animals that would only grow stronger as Kim grew older. She knew pretty early on that she wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary industry, and as it turns out, it’s the perfect fit!

Kim’s journey began as a bather at an animal hospital in Missouri where she learned how to groom animals. She then spent some time working as a groomer at another practice before relocating to Colorado and joining the Front Porch Animal Clinic team. As our Maintenance Manager, Kim makes sure the clinic is clean, well-stocked, and runs smoothly. She especially enjoys assisting with surgery setup.

Outside of work, Kim has a daughter, whom she shared with her late husband, Mark, as well as a stepdaughter, and eight grandchildren. Her fur-family consists of a rescue dog named Jude, who can be very temperamental but is getting more trusting by the day, and two cats: Ringo and Luna. Ringo is very chill and loves his treats. Luna is a diva and has to be fed on her own schedule.

In her free time, Kim loves to sing and served as worship leader at her former church in Missouri. She also enjoys photography and is in the process of learning Spanish.

Kiana

Kiana

Veterinary Assistant

Kiana grew up in LaSalle, CO raising and working alongside livestock. She also had plenty of furry friends at home as well. Despite this upbringing, Kiana didn’t initially set out to work in veterinary medicine. In fact, she was majoring in agriculture business in hopes of one day owning her own cattle ranch. While she’s still working toward her degree, veterinary medicine has now become her new passion and life path.

Kiana was working at a coffee shop to fund her addiction to showing livestock when she applied to become a receptionist at Front Porch Animal Clinic. It didn’t take long for her to work her way up to the role of veterinary assistant. Professionally, Kiana enjoys educating and building relationships with clients and watching new puppies and kittens grow into happy, healthy adults.

Outside of work, Kiana has two cats: Tank and Shadow. Tank is always making biscuits on someone’s lap, while Shadow is afraid of her own shadow and will hide on top of the kitchen cabinets. Kiana also has two steers, one sheep, a horse, and a handful of chickens.

When she’s not busy working or studying, you’ll probably find Kiana either attending a livestock show or working cattle in the steer pen. She also enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, and attending country music concerts.

Tiauna

Tiauna

Registered Veterinary Technician

Tiauna may have initially set out to work as a pediatric nurse, but life took her down a different path – one that she knows is her true calling. Her role as a veterinary technician has allowed her to combine her passion for science and biology with her deep love of animals. Tiauna feels honored to be able to help care for those who cannot speak for themselves. It takes a strong heart to do this job but knowing she’s making a difference makes it all worth it.

Tiauna joined the Front Porch Animal Clinic team several years ago and has enjoyed seeing new puppies grow into healthy adults and forging relationships with their owners. Professionally, Tiauna has a particular affinity for educating clients about general wellness and what keeps their pets healthiest. She also appreciates that every day is different, filled with new patients, new procedures, and new updates in veterinary medicine.

At home, Tiauna is happily married to a very supportive and loving husband. The couple has two dogs and a cat. Gronk is a big momma’s boy who loves cuddles and snacks. Mable is just as spunky and cuddly. If she is not laying in your lap, she is begging you to play fetch. Pepper was a tricky addition to the family but despite her attitude, Tiauna could not imagine life without her.

When she’s not at work, you can usually find Tiauna at a sporting event, doing projects around the house, working out at the gym, or spending quality time with family.

Mandy

Mandy

Receptionist

Mandy has been involved in animal welfare since 2017 when she started working at a humane society and fell in love with helping people and their pets. Since then, she’s been exploring other areas of animal health care, from shelter medicine to specialties, such as oncology. As one of the rock star receptionists here at Front Porch Animal Clinic, Mandy enjoys talking and engaging with clients and being there for their pets, in the good times and the bad.

Outside of work, Mandy and her husband live in Greeley with their four cats: Grimm, Liv, Mash, and Echo. They also have a leopard gecko named Molly and a Senegal parrot named Kiwi. The cats tolerate the bird, but the bird occasionally throws seed at the cats. When she’s not busy working or tending to her pets, Mandy enjoys going to Rockies games and attending concerts—especially Taylor Swift. She also likes playing video games, cooking, and watching The Office.

Mikaela

Mikaela

Receptionist

Born and raised in Littleton, CO, Mikaela dreamt about becoming a veterinarian when she grew up. She remembers accompanying the family pets to their checkups and being fascinated as she watched the doctor and support staff work. Now that she’s all grown up, Mikaela is thrilled to have found a career that allows her to be around animals every day.

Prior to moving to Greeley and joining the Front Porch team, Mikaela worked at a doggy daycare and then moved on to an emergency clinic, where she gained valuable experience as a receptionist. Professionally, Mikaela enjoys interacting with the patients, learning about their unique personalities, and answering client questions. Her goal is to go back to school to become a veterinary technician.

At home, Mikaela has three dogs of her own, whom she considers the loves of her life. Memphis (a.k.a. Mompy) is sweet, vocal Lhasa Apso, Hazel is a feisty Chihuahua who loves to cuddle, and Coco is a crazy Shih Tzu who likes to run and play. In addition to animals, Mikaela’s other interests include hiking, spending time outdoors, going on road trips, and camping.
